Solid state physics, research on electronic structure of intermetallic compounds of rare earths by means of X-ray spectroscopy (XPS-x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, XES-x-ray emission spectroscopy, BIS- Bremstrahlung isochromat spectroscopy, XANES and others), research on thermal expansion and magnetic properties of metals and of alloys with admixture of rare earths, which manifest fluctuant valency, Kondo effect and heavy fermion properties, research on the mechanism of superconductivity in high temperature superconductors.
